short lil' diary entry since i said i would upload one yesterday and completely forgot LOLZ

but hi:) how's everyone doing? i had three days off and now i'm back on my work grind. today i learn how to close. exciting ! (not really but i get my official thirty minute break so that's nice. i'm bringing my ipad to play pjsk on my break LOL)

i'm a bit nervous for this weekend in terms of events at our store because we have two super big events happening on the same day PLUS a merch drop that correlates alongside one of the events' fandoms... yikes. so needless to say it'll be super busy both in the cafe and the store and we'll be SWAMPED with shit to do and customers. which is fine! i like customer interactions. honestly it's the best part of my day. but i also like efficiency. so that'll be a challenge because i like to chat LMFAOO

besides i work with someone who i don't think likes me all that much on that day. which is fine! we've only worked together once so it's not like she's gonna love me right off the bat. and i've heard it takes her a bit of time to warm up to people. so if we don't become friends, it's not the end of the world. i just hope she doesn't hate me, y'know? T_T

either way i get my hair cut next weekend which is nice. and i saw my irl bestie yesterday and we dyed their hair. which was also nice + fun. i've been having a Nice Summer now that i have a job. and i do think i wanna keep it into the fall. take one less class and just cruise on by. i like this job a lot. i really do :)

I GOT HIRED! i'm so happy it's unreal as this was my dream job for like... 3 years? about. well. ever since the store became a permanent store instead of a lil pop-up. now it's a full-blown operation with stores across the country! while it's still a small kpop business, we collab with companies and have exclusive releases. i'm genuinely so happy. this is my dream. like, kpop makes my entire life. it's been pretty much my entire life for half of it. and now i get to work around it. this is the dream, seriously.

there's certain things i can't talk about i.e. our exclusive drops and releases in depth - but the fact we even do them is so exciting. the fact we collaborate directly with the companies and idols is so exciting. it's such an honor to provide merch to people here. yknow? like... we don't have a ton of ways to get merch here in america besides group orders or kpop stores. and the fact we have one in my state is just. Epic. Truly Amazing.

i'm sorry to gush and geek out over this but i've been over the moon since i started working. training has been a breeze and i've been having so much fun working. even yesterday, when it was a bit slower, i had a nice time just relaxing and chatting with coworkers and customers... it's nice:') very very nice there. besides, i get discounts too!! for the store and the cafe/restaurant :D

i'm just having such a lovely time, y'all. i truly am. i didn't think i'd work so soon again but having this opportunity come up was a miracle. like, a dream within a dream.

i'm slowly getting things done! this is kind of an update from my first entry of the month...?

i sort of kind of joined another fic fest but i already finished the fic, since the premise of the ficfest are fics under 1k monthly. it's a cute concept. i like it. anyway. i got that one done. i just need a graphic for that for the deadline.

one of my letters is pretty much done. i just need to go and get stamps on monday. i'll finish it up tomorrow since i just need to write the lil note :D in regards to the other letter.. that has a lot more work that needs to be done for it. but i'll probs finish it up next week.

if i can keep the pace of 300-800 words per day, i'll def be done by the due date for my final fic. i just wish i could take a lil media consumption break.

i did watch Brokeback Mountain last night.... so fucking good. omfg. i'll update my medialog soon too.

anyway!! i'm doing okay. just trying to grind everything out.

^^ lil bit of a glimpse at my word count for the week. 2.5k in like 5 days isn't bad, especially considering i haven't started writing for the day when this blog entry was written.

i'm writing this entry more as a reminder to myself of what to do this month. happy pride, btw!! i hope this month treats all of you kindly (++ extra gayly. is that a word. queerly is at least.)

but i need to post my sungseok fest fic next sunday. sometime before that, i need to make my graphic.

i also need to finish my svtfest fic. that's, like, my major goal this month. finishing my vershua Beast of a fic. it's well over 5k right now and the goal is somewhere between 8k and 10k. but i need to have that done by the 28th as well as the graphic for that too.

i need to mail webi and mari's letters this month.

i'd Really Like to clean my desk.

tomorrow i have a doctor's appointment. i need to email the therapy place back today. i need to call my migraine specialist as well, sometime.

after i finish my svtfic i'll try to finalize my own personal "fest" for july, but maybe i'll have the fics be Due in august and i'll Write in july. but the thing is... i wanted to do artfight. i'll try to figure it out. Blegh.

the thing is i'm not busy. i just have a lot of stuff i wanna do and my executive dysfunction is making it hard to do anything. so i'm writing this trying to garner motivation to write for my svtfic. and then Maybe i'll be able to write like 200- 500 words today. which would help a ton. every time i'm able to do that is, like, maybe 1/13 off of my shoulders? maybe? idk. i just need to Lock In and write some YAOI!!!
